Switch Workshop
Switching roles while dancing automatically undermines the idea that our gender must have any influence on our dancing. So let’s work on our switching together!

In the switch workshop, we won’t have one dancer teaching everyone else; all participants benefit from each other, show each other what they know, try out new moves, and talk about what is important to them. We moderate the event and will provide a structure to the event, but we are happy to be flexible and look forward to an open and lively exchange, with comments, ideas and contributions from as many people as possible!
Level: This workshop is not suitable for dancers who have only danced in one role so far. You don’t have to be a switch pro, but you should know the basics in both roles.
Can I join even if I don’t identify as queer? Yes! This workshop is open to queer dancers and allies alike.

We’re holding our first festival 23 – 25 October, 2026, here in Cologne. A Swing festival, organised by queer dancers for queer dancers. More information to follow the closer we get to the date.

“Hop into Summer”
Are you attending the Hop into Summer festival and want to meet some fellow queer dancers before the big opening party? Then come hang out with us at our informal little meet-up!

🎉 Then head over to the “Meet the Pool” party at Swingin’ Pool Cologne at 8:00 PM
Feel free to bring your own drink or snack – we’ll just hang out for about an hour, relax and connect with each other.
It’s the perfect chance to meet new people in a chill setting before the festival workshops kick off on Sunday.
