La Fauna Queer
We’re a group of LGBTQIA+ friends who dance lindy hop and other swing music dances. We got together in 2026 to create a space within the Madrid swing scene where queer dancers can flourish and be themselves on the dance floor. We organise our dances to encourage queer community within our local swing dance scene, and raise awareness and celebrate the queer and Black American culture that was present and part of the origins of swing. We want our dances to be a place of celebration, a place to meet and get to know each other, and a place where we can go to take a break from the heteronormative dance spaces we often find ourselves in.
